College of Engineering

College of Engineering (COE) offers a total of four (4) programs namely: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering and Industrial Engineering.

 

COE endeavored its engineering education to consistently be relevant in today’s highly competitive environment responsive to the needs of the industry and the community. The college offers quality Outcomes-Based Education compliant with the national and international accreditations standards. To realize this, COE continuously restructures its curriculum to reflect what students should learn upon completing a program, and what they should attain a few years after graduation.

 

The programs are designed to provide students with comprehensive academic foundation balanced with relevant hands-on experience through a well thought-out On-The-Job training program, exposure trips and technical seminars.

 

COE has a rich research program focusing on Microelectronics, Embedded Systems, Internet-of-Things (IoT), Ergonomics, and Work and Measurement aided with industry-grade laboratory facilities and strong linkages with the industry and the government.

Goals of the College

In order to accomplish its mission, the College shall provide:

  • Provide outcomes-based education through seamless integration of science technology and the humanities to meet the needs of the industry;

 

  • Transform society through relevant and sustainable extension programs and services;

 

  • Work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team to accomplish a common goal;

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Three to five years after graduation, FAITH alumni in Electronics, Electrical, Computer and Industrial Engineering will:

  • Advance their practice as successful in Electronics, Electrical, Computer and Industrial Engineering professionals to uplift society.
  • Enhance their promotion of professionalism in Electronics, Electrical, Computer and Industrial Engineering practice.

Program Outcomes

By the time of graduation, the students in the Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Electrical Computer and Industrial Engineering program will be able to:

  • Apply knowledge of mathematics and sciences to solve complex engineering problems;

 

  • Develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data;

 

  • Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability in accordance with standards;

 

  • Function effectively in multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams that establish goals, plan tasks, and meet deadlines;

 

  • Identify, formulate, and solve complex problems in Electronics, Electrical Computer and Industrial engineering; 

 

  • Recognize and apply ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering practice;

 

  • Communicate effectively with a range of audiences;
  • Understand the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal context;

 

  • Recognize the need for additional knowledge and engage in lifelong learning.

 

  • Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the field of Electronics, Electrical Computer and Industrial engineering;

 

  • Apply techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for Electronics, Electrical Computer and Industrial engineering practice;

 

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles as a member and/or leader in a team to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments;

 

  • Understand at least one specialized field of Electronics, Electrical Computer and Industrial Engineering practice.

College of Computing and 

Information Technology

The College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) of First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities recently restructured its academic philosophy to reflect what students should learn upon completing a program, and what they should attain a few years after graduation.

The programs under the College of Computing and Information Technology are designed to provide the student with a comprehensive academic foundation balanced with relevant, hands-on experience through a well-thought-out on-the-job training program, exposure trips, and seminars.

Program Educational Objectives & Outcomes (PEO & PO)

The College established its program educational objectives and student outcomes for its degree programs in Computer Science and Information Technology. Outcomes Based Education (OBE), in concrete terms, visualizes what students are expected to know and be able to do by the time they complete their program. These outcomes include the skills, knowledge, and behaviors that should constitute the foundation of every CCIT student on which they will build their professional life.
